Antique wrist watches were originally worn by women as their fashion accessories. They were small and were designed to look delicately appealing on a female wrist. The real turn for watches was the return of the war heroes who were sporting wrist watches initially worn by women and suddenly had masculine association. It soon became palpable that these timepieces were handier than pocket watches and quickly took a great turn in the market.

Quartz did the significant change of antique wrist watches during the 1970s. Through the computer, looming watches appears amazingly futuristic. At the start they were costly but as more famous they became, they more the price came down and soon after, every trendy youngster had one. The popularity of the digital wrist watches raised as newer features developed for them.

Over the years, watches had alarms, games, calculators and stopwatches were included. Nowadays, everybody can own one as much as telling the time and for fashion’s sake. The straps become easy to fix and they now come in variety of designs to suit anyone’s taste.

Watches during the 1910s to 1930s defined the makes of the wrist watches which we see and wear today.
